The Mindemoya Classic brings runners, paddlers and cyclists together for a fun and challenging multisport event. Race for a fast time, challenge your neighbours, or gather your friends and family for a great day on the course.
Date
Sunday, July 5th
Location
Government Dock, Mindemoya
How it works?
There are three parts to the Mindemoya Classic: a 5.5 km run, a 3 km paddle and a 13 km bike.
You can complete the race by yourself or enter with a team.
Choose the Solo category. You will complete all three parts of the race on your own.
Choose a team of two or four, and then decide how your team wants to race:
Choose Relay if you want to divide up the course.
Each team member is responsible for a particular part of the race. Only the paddlers paddle together.
On a two-person relay, one person runs, both paddle, and the other person bikes.
On a four-person relay, one person runs, two people paddle, and one person bikes.
Choose Endurance if everyone wants to complete the full course.
Every member of the team runs, paddles and bikes. The team stays together throughout the race.
A two-person endurance team uses one canoe.
A four-person endurance team uses two canoes.
The Course
The Goverment Dock in Mindemoya is the central transition hub wehere all the segments begin and end
Run - 5.5k road run
Paddle - ~3km along the shore of Lake Mindemoya
Peddal - the 13k bike route starts with 2k of rough trail followed by 11km of paved road. Any bike is capable of comleting the course, but you have to balance your desire for speed against the risk of puncture.
